I wonder how people who have been lied to and oppressed for so long can learn to believe in words again. Whoever becomes the new "voice" of the Iraqi people is gonna have a hard time. But peaceful elections would be a step toward building new trust.
Agreed. Iraq has had a very turbulent history. No doubt problems will continue to happen. Hopefully those problems will be resolved through peaceful means from now on. The new Iraqi government will only be successful if it gives a voice to everyone, including the vaguely named "terrorists." For those who decide to kill, I hope they are met with equal resistance.
